Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown is small enough to see in a morning, with giraffes, jaguars, red pandas, bison, an aviary and a barnyard where kids can get close to goats. Animal feedings depend on weather and are posted daily. Open Wednesday to Friday 10 AM to 4 PM and weekends 10 AM to 5 PM, closed Monday and Tuesday; hours change seasonally. Children 2 and under are free, Norristown residents get free admission the last weekend of each month, and overflow weekend parking is at 1700 Markley Street.
