The Ambler Arboretum covers Temple University's Ambler campus with formal gardens, a woodland and open lawns that are good for a slow walk with small children. Admission and parking are free, though vehicles must be registered to park (park in Lot 1 off Meetinghouse Road). The grounds are open year round from dawn to dusk. Guided tours carry a fee; self-guided maps are posted on the arboretum website.
