The Atlantic City Boardwalk runs for miles along a free public beach, so a stroller walk with an ice cream stop is easy. Rolling chair rides, arcades and Steel Pier give older kids something to do, and the beach itself needs no badge. It is busiest on summer weekends; mornings are calmest. Public parking garages charge fees.
