Banning Regional Park dates to 1928 and sits at Maryland Avenue and Middleboro Road, a short drive from downtown Wilmington. It has a playground plus ball fields, picnic areas and ponds where kids can look for ducks and turtles. The park also has an off-leash dog area, so families with dogs can combine trips. Parking is free in the park lots.
