Brigantine's beaches are less crowded than Atlantic City's and good for sandcastles and wading with lifeguards in summer. Beach badges are required for ages 12 and up in season, and children 11 and under are free. Parking at the oceanfront lots requires a permit in season. There is no boardwalk, so pack what you need.
